Cocowai Cashmere
Handcrafted in Nepal, shared from Sandbanks. A luxury cashmere business built on friendships that have lasted over 30 years.

Cocowai Cashmere has been working with the same friends and makers in Nepal for over 30 years. Every piece is hand spun, hand loomed and hand dyed, and that care and connection is at the heart of the brand.

As a small local business, they wanted a social media presence that felt as considered as their cashmere. That meant posting less, but making every post count.

So when they came to me, their goals were clear and the brief was simple:

  • Grow awareness of the brand beyond Sandbanks, both in the UK and worldwide

  • More traffic to their website and online shop

  • More visitors to their shop on Panorama Road

  • Somewhere to share the story behind the cashmere, from Nepal to Sandbanks

My job was to turn those goals into a clear content strategy, with fewer, more intentional posts built around the people they most wanted to reach.

With a brand like Cocowai, every post has to earn its place. Luxury buyers notice when a feed feels rushed or repetitive, so rather than posting for the sake of it, I focus on content that reflects the quality of the product and the story behind it.

That means showing the colour, texture and craft of each piece, the family connection to Nepal, and the Sandbanks setting that makes the brand feel so personal.

Before I came on board, Cocowai’s Instagram had gone quiet, with their last post going up 10 months earlier, and their Facebook had very little reach. For a brand with such a beautiful product and story, it simply wasn’t being seen.

Since I started posting, in just two weeks, the accounts have gone from silent to steadily growing, with people not only seeing the content but stopping to engage, visit the profile and head to the website.

I manage their Instagram and Facebook, shooting product content at the Sandbanks shop and creating graphics in Canva. I look after everything from planning and shooting through to posting and engagement, so the family can stay focused on the business.

With fewer, more intentional posts, every piece of content is working harder. People aren’t just scrolling past, they’re stopping, engaging and heading to the website to explore the collection.
